Stay in the loop:

We’re continuing our January super-release cycle with today’s update – it’s a new version of our integration API!
This is just the start, we’ll be incrementally releasing API version 2 over the coming months; we’ll be adding brand new end-points and upgrading those already found in API version 1.

So why do we need the new API version 2?
Well, there have been lots of changes to our platform since we originally built version 1. In addition, there’s a few things in version 1 that are a little clunky and can be made much better. And finally, as forms2mobile has continued to evolve and grow, several entities and concepts in our system have moved in different directions. This in turn needs to be reflected in the API, and it requires us to make significant changes.

What about version 1?  Are you closing it down?
Don’t worry, version 1 of our API is not going anywhere right now  😉

We’ll continue to support API version 1 until 1 March 2017.
So while you really should take a look at the new API, you have plenty of time to upgrade your existing integrations. Also note that any new development will be on version 2 only, so if you want some of the new functionality we’re shipping, then you’ll need to hop on over to version 2 as soon as you can.

Did you say new functionality?
We certainly did!  As part of the initial version 2 roll-out, we’ve added a new Company API. The Company API is available to forms2mobile resale partners and lets you create, update and retrieve client accounts against your master vendor account. A lot of you have been asking for this for some time, mainly to connect into your signup, CRM and billing systems. Well now you can 🙂

Take a look at all the technical details in our new Integration API V2 documentation area. Keep watching this space for more version 2 releases coming soon.
