What is REST API?

The forms2 REST API allows you to use HTTP requests to access and use data. You can use that DATA to GET, PUT, POST, PATCH and DELETE data types.

How we work together:

Leverage your data and automate your workflows in new ways with our REST API endpoints. Integrate your existing platforms and services at multiple stages of your mobile workflows.

Automate everything!

Keep data sources in sync, create and maintain new and existing OU’s and environments, work with existing app and form entries, create mobile notifications, manage and publish screens, work programatically with our tasks engine, and maintain user profiles between platforms.

Data Source Use Cases

  • Automatically trigger API posts from your existing platforms to update data sources when new data is available.
  • Add a REST Connector to your forms2 data sources and schedule more complex queries.
  • Add custom JSON and XML to headers and body elements, and create multi step POST/RESPONSE/POST sequences.

Data Delivery Use Cases

  • Add a REST Connector to a screen that automatically triggers upon receiving a form submission. Use captured form data to create a task in our task engine, update your existing platforms and trigger onward actions.
  • Add custom JSON and XML to headers and body elements, and create multi step POST/RESPONSE/POST sequences.
  • Handle API responses to POSTS to trigger additional actions in your forms2 workflows. For example, POST a forms2 data entry directly into your platform, use the response data to trigger the creation of a forms2 Task using our Tasks API.
  • Use your existing platform to trigger API POSTS to control, update and configure all aspects of your forms2 instance.
