What is Amazon Web Services?

Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is an object storage service offering industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance.

How we work together:

Hook up our Amazon S3 Data Source connector to import new rows to your data sources from your Amazon S3 buckets. Schedule imports from Excel or CSV files to make sure your mobile users have the latest data to work with.

Hook up our Amazon S3 Form connector and store newly captured data entries to your Amazon S3 buckets. Save your data entries in formats like CSV, Excel or PDF’s for easy report generation.

Data Source Use Cases

  • Bring in a list of company vehicles, including make, model, registration plate, lease start/end date, last fitness check date and details of any check failures. Use a Data Capture screen started from a scheduled weekly vehicle check Task, and the OCR field, to scan the vehicle registration plate and display the vehicle details, and last check results to the user.
  • Bring in a list of spare parts including part name, quantity in stock, vehicle make and model. Using a Data Entry screen with the vehicle already selected, use a Choices Field to mark off vehicle checks for failure and automatically select a part in stock for allocation.

Data Delivery Use Cases

  • Save a formatted PDF report for each vehicle check completed. Format the report using an Excel template to highlight any areas of concern. Dynamically populate the S3 bucket name based on the vehicle registration ID.
  • Store a formatted Text file for each vehicle check that has failed. Format the file using a JSON template to include the vehicle registration, date and time of check, nature of the failure and a list of parts required. Use the JSON formatted text file in other AWS applications and services.
